Cancellation Scenarios
Before FUNDED status (before the card hold is placed), either the Traveler or Shopper may cancel at no charge.
If the Traveler cancels for their own convenience, the Shopper receives a full refund from escrow and is never out of pocket. The Traveler pays no monetary penalty, but the cancellation lowers their trust score and is shown as a cancellation rate; repeated cancellations may lead to limits on new transactions or account suspension.
If the item is out of stock or the price has changed, the Traveler may cancel without penalty. The Shopper receives a full refund.
As long as the Traveler has not yet departed, the Shopper may cancel anytime free of charge and receives a full refund. After the Traveler has departed, cancellation is not possible in principle. As an exception, the Shopper may submit a cancellation request, which takes effect only if the Traveler approves it: a cancellation fee of 15% of the item price applies (5% to the Traveler + 10% to the platform, each with a ¥300 minimum — at least ¥600 in total), and the remainder is fully refunded. If the Traveler does not respond, the request is automatically approved 3 days after their return (no earlier than 72 hours after the request). Once the Traveler has already purchased the item, cancellation is no longer possible.
Once the Traveler marks the item as purchased (IN_TRANSIT), no cancellation is possible. The Shopper's screen shows 'Purchased — cancellation locked.' The reward payment obligation is confirmed.
If the purchased item is seized by customs, the transaction moves to DISPUTED. Operations reviews evidence and processes a full refund to the Shopper. The Traveler bears the item cost (Terms Article 11).
Any issue not covered above is handled in accordance with the dispute-handling provisions of the Terms of Service.
